Absolute Dream "Dreamy"
“I found my beloved Dreamylicious Pumpkin Spice Unicorn Cupcake on a European horse-buying trip in 2016. Born in 2014 and registered Westfalen (All At Once x Fürst Piccolo), he was purchased by his sellers, Annabeth and Eugene Reesink of Reesink SportHorses, at a foal auction. They hoped he was a stallion candidate until he was so naughty at the Fall young stallion inspection/show when they made the wise decision to geld him. When I arrived to see the youngsters they had for sale, little 2.5 year-old Dreamy hadn’t yet been advertised.
I was instantly smitten with his baby face and amazing eye lashes and then I saw him move! I’d never seen a horse play with his body like this youngster did. He never crashed or slammed on the brakes to turn or stop and he grew in height at the withers every time he added power. He could even gallop while practically dragging his nose on the ground. He clearly loved his body, as did I! They had not given him a name, so I was able to name him and thankfully, he has lived up to his name, Absolute Dream.
Dreamy has surpassed my every expectation in a dance partner. He is the most loving, intelligent, ridable and trainable (now that he’s mentally mature – he was a wild youngster!) horse I’ve ever had the honor to be around. He “smiles” at anyone to get attention and nickers when he sees me. He chooses spending time with me over turnout. He makes me feel like a princess riding her unicorn especially when we glide past a mirror, and I catch a glimpse of the art we are creating. He truly is my dream horse.
Dreamy and I were honored to spend a year on the USEF Emerging Young Horse List and have enjoyed many successful years in competition steadily climbing through the levels. The following are highlights from our show career, thus far:
